Tein Basic Damper Coilovers...?
I have a 97 SE and when researching suspension upgrades I found that springs and shocks would be my best bet for budget. It wanted to do Sportlines and AGX's and found that to be a popular combo among imports. Then i found the Tein's Basic Coilover setup. its only a bit more expensive than a spring/shock combo, but i hear with coilovers its much better performance and its fully adjustable.
Anyone have these or know anything about them??
Thanks

I've done alot of research over the past little while as far as suspension goes. Being as I want to upgrade from my current shock/spring combo.
I've read alot into some of the companies, the most impressive one being PIC. But alas PIC does not offer anything for us Accord guys. After doing even more reserch I found that Tein would be my best price/performance ratio. The Tein basics are reasonably priced and allow for much more adjustability than a spring/shock combo.
I talked to the owner of PIC, Bob, and what he told me is it really comes down to wha tyou'd like to do. If you're tracking your car, your best bet is to go with a shock/spring combo that is specifically designed for your application. However if you just want this for your daily driver and would like some adjustability and flexibility with your suspension some coliovers would be the way to go. Tein is definitely not a bad route to go.
You may also want to reference the Suspension forum on a question like that. Also, if you want, contact Bob @ PIC performance as he is always very willing to help anybody with suspension related questions. Very good guys.

Mainly it boils down to what you want to use your suspension for. Coilovers DO offer adjustability however will you be using this feature often?? Tein basics suck from a performance perspective and the only adjustability is ride height. Think about what you want your suspension for. A good spring, damper combo is usually more than enough.
