Default Thanks....

Expo 6 was a great time and a great success!

Lots of thanks:
- to all our sponsors and the amazing raffle prizes we had. I don't remember ever having so many prizes. Amazing! Hope you all will return to sponsor Expo 7. And I think we can draft Clayton in the future to be our Banquet MC!

- to our instructors who were fantastic. Those who stepped up for those who were not present and those who stuck with their students for all those sessions - thanks so much. You guys did REALLY great and I was amazed to hear all the good things from students about their instructors. We'd be honored to have you guys back in the future.

- students - I think we had a tremendous group out on track, and we had very few incidences/off track excursions... and we owe it all to you guys and to your instructors. Good job! I went and tooled around in novice/intermediate sessions and you guys were doing really really good.

- to Willard for doing the classroom sessions and helping us out
- to Ken Sax and Aquafina for helping jay out with registration at the hotel.
- to yall who came from around the country and to the canadians for coming in full force again! you guys are fantastic!

- Chris Bundrock - you and your wife are badasses - coming all the way from Washington with your release bearing/clutch fork rigged up and making amazing time! Glad you guys could make it and hope it was worth the trip. Hopefull you guys made it back safely.

- Paul/Kicker773 - thanks for getting cory / junR to expo! It was great to meet you cory, i hope you enjoyed the event.
- Cone - thanks for running to chicago late/early in the wee hours to get a clutch/etc for Chris B.

- Dave ror - thanks for helping me out on the grid, jerk. and craig thanks for coming out so me and dave had someone to make fun of!

- Top Setup Charlie - Thanks for taking care of the guy who snapped a rod/spun a bearing. I didn't get a chance to catch his name while we were loading up the car to get towed to your shop, but I hope everything works out with your car.. you are in great hands with Charlie!

- Thanks to my good friend Ryan/canuckR for letting me drive his car all day Tuesday. Next event I'll bring a case of beer, case of o'l, and some gas money. and thanks to migs for letting me take out his car late on monday and for the aerial photos.

- Dave B for being Dave B. Good to meet you mang. Definitely have to do this again soon.

Thanks to the track people - while we had a few differences of opinion on red/black flags - they did a fantastic job and didn't miss anything out there on track. I was told we are welcomed back whenever we'd like to have an event again in the future!

I had a great time and everyone I spoke to did also. I met a lot of great people and was happy to see many old friends from all over the place. I hope we can do it again next year just like this!

Wes - we missed you and I hope you are feeling better. I wish you could have been there to see your hard work pay off!

- to the tall honkay kelly for coming to chicago from socal on thurs night, and catching some beisbol games fri/sat before we took off for expo.

Lastly, HUGE Thanks to Jay Haire / Cheezthis for doing just about everything. Not only did he tweak the rungroups/instructor pairings endlessly, but he was insanely busy all event. I was pretty damned busy, probably busier than anyone, but not even close to Jay. He really made it happen and stepped up BIG time. I wish there was more people to lighten the load, but that wasn't possible - and we all owe him our thanks. I hope everyone got a chance to thank him for his enormous contribution.

Oh, and for splat - GO OILERS!

And with good reason you miss it. I myself had a blast. Drinking at 10am until 3am is only recommended in small doses. Glad everyone had a great time, and many thanks to all those involved. You guys made this event happen

Thanks to Chris and Jay and everyone else who made this happen. I had a great time and thought the whole thing went very well even with the few minor hickups. This was a really great event and I'm really excited for the next one.

Well said Chris. An event this big needs the cooperation of all involved to go on without a hitch. I appreciate everything that you and all the organizers did.
-Wes, hope you are feeling better, and I really could have used those Kosei's.

Maybe next year we can have Honda America be a sponsor and have... oh I don't know, maybe spare trannies on hand.

I was thinking on the drive home about what a sham it is that HoA has never sponsored us.

I hope we can get them next year. After six years of expos.. and probably 95% honda turnout again - I wish they'd take notice!

I would also like to say THANK YOU Jim (Batouthell) for helping with the flushing of my trannie fluid and back tracking to meet up with me in Bloomington to make sure the trannie didn't leave me stranded on the return trip home.

Thanks for helping me out.
...
I was this fool...

...in case you didn't know. I really did not introduce myself at the banquet at all. I just needed a break, ha.

I was going to make a big thread for all my thanks, but this one seems good.

I echo the above thanks and will add my own here. Please read these entirely, I appreciate that.

Thanks...

-Wes/White Dragon...without him, we wouldn't be talking about this. Even though he could not physically make it, he did more behind the scenes stuff than anyone (including myself) will realize. Thank you Wes, I really enjoyed working with you the last year on this. I hope you get better soon and maybe we can have a little MAM event later this year like 2003.

-to Ken/nsxtasy and Chris/aquafina for helping me with registration at the hotel. I was planning on working registration at all this year, but just like last year, I ended up doing it ...you guys really made it easier at that time, thanks! I had JUST walked into the hotel, checked in, and didn't even go to my room yet. Seriously, I owe you guys.

-Clayton/Ausmith...for making us laugh at the banquet ane everything.

-Victor Perri...your sponsor prizes were amazing. Thanks again...as I said before, I personally appreciate it and know others do too.

-Stephen/Jetydosa...for keeping JD in touch w/me, haha.

-Jeff Goodnow's father, for helping out with the registration table Monday morning.

-Jim/batouttahell...for helping get registration and everything figured out Friday-Sunday and teching helmets at the track on Monday. I had NO time to do that, and that really saved me from just dying. I really appreciated that, the waivers, everything...thanks.

-Willard...classrooms, etc....thanks. I hope didn't mind me chiming as much as I did in the novice sessions.

-Borowski brothers (sisters )...for doing an amazing job. I knew you guys would. I'll see you guys at Nemos again this week, haha!

-Dan and Victor from Chicago...for coming out at the LAST possible moment to help out for instructors that bailed at the last moment. For those that do not know, they put on the Club Si event last year and good guys! Thanks...and sorry I was just not up for a ride in the car yet. I think the event had finally caught up to me then and would have been too busy trying to focus rather than truly enjoy it. See you at WMHM...

-Josh/itrsport...the aerial photos, thanks again! You always do a great job, and it never goes unnoticed or unappreciated. Sorry for missing those calls...

-AA and Jen...for the pirate flag!!

-to ALL the instructors in attendance...in the past we've had some less than impressive instructors that fail to do their job. You guys went well beyond that, all of you. Without you, my job would have yielded even more gray hairs on my head (and at my age of 25, I have more than enough, haha).

-to all the drivers/students...I really think you guys were the fastest group at Expo I have ever seen since Expo 3. Good job! Fast, safe, etc...

-all sponsors...thanks, seriously. You make the event really shine.

...

And on a final note, everyone...thanks for putting up w/me running around like a chicken missing its head. When so many people came up at the end to say "thanks" or "this was the most fun I have ever had" and so on...that really makes it all worth it. Thank you...seriously, thank you.

...

I know I forgot many, and so feel free to let me know and I'll gladly fix it. I'm still kind of exhausted from it.

I hope everyone had a great time.
