help advancing timing

Default help advancing timing

ok i have 1/h/e on sohc zc and i was wondering is it a smart thing to advance my timing or retard it for more hp. im kinda of a noob at this so i would like to no if this is a good idea or not yet.

advance ignition timing but that requires running a higher octane fuel. Not sure if you are willing pay extra for that with the current gas prices. Probably won't gain much anyways.

I wouldn't advance more than 2 degrees.

yeah those gas prices are killer maybe ill stay away from that even though i run 91 octane on a daily bases since i only drive my car localy.
