Help me decide on some things
1. I am trying to decide on a helmet to get. I don't want to spend much at all (around or under $100)on one because it will only be used for autocross. I'm tired of loaner helmets not being put back and other people's sweat and hair being in the helmet. So here are the helmets I have narrowed it down to.
Bell LS-X http://www.genuineaccessories....X.htm
or
HJC CL-14 http://www.genuineaccessories....4.htm
Is it worth the extra $25 or is that just over kill for autocross? I also know what size I would need for the HJC since I have worn one before.
2. What website has the cheapest magnetic numbers and letters for sale?
3. Can I upgrade to larger master cylinder in STS2? I didn't see anything (if it was or wasn't allowed) in the the rules about upgrading master cylinders. If it is legal I was going to try to find a 89 accord LX master cylinder. Any other recommendations on a master cylinder for a 90 CRX Si?
My brake pedal sinks to the floor when I'm sitting at stop lights so I think my master cylinder needs replaced.
Thanks for all the help.

I highly recommend trying on any helmet before you buy it. A helmet needs to fit correctly to work correctly, and it needs to fit comfortably or you'll regret it.

If the rules don't say that you CAN do something, then you CAN NOT. I don't recall offhand if the rules say anything about master cylinders, but that's the basic rule you need to go by.

I would like to but there is not any place that sells helmets around me. I do know how the HJC fits, so you would suggest that one?

I was thinking about going to the motorcycle shop, but there prices will be to high for me. I guess I could atleast use there helmets to make sure I get the correct size.
The helmet I buy will be to old to use for road racing by the time I have money to road race. I'm a young one. haha

Some motorcycle places have SNELL rated helmets for about $100. Check with the club you want to run with to make sure you get one that meets their minimum standard. Also be aware that different manufacturers sizes may have a different fit. A lot of online retailers have fitting guides - check those out if you won't be trying on the helmet.
As for RR'ing - while a weekend may run close to $300 (more or less depending on the track and club) the price per minute of seat time is MUCH cheaper.
AutoX $20 = 6 mins
RR $300 = 200+ mins
(save your pennies it is worth it)
