Well the real question is how much$$$ are you looking to throw down on one? Is the B16

even an option for you they are kinda pricey.

Ya, all depends on how much you wanna spend. hmotors sells complete swaps that enclude everything you need, albeit may cost more than is you where to shop around for parts to get the best prices.

Get an LS from a scrap yard (B18A, DOHC non VTEC from an Integra). About 300-400$ they go for. Then get mounts. About 200-300$. The engine from the scrap should come with tranny and engine. Try and get the axles and the ecu. Make sure its 90-91 if you don't wanna deal with OBD conversions. Then simply wire up MPFI and slap her in there.

It's a bit more complicated then that, but it's still faily simple.

If you cant get a B series consider a mini-me. You can probably get a z6 or y8 head with intake for less than $200 on ebay. Add a distributer ($100) and pm6 ecu ($50) Then convert to mpfi. If you dont have AC then send the ecu to Xenocron and he can make it to VTEC. Its not a lot of power but compared to dpfi non-vtec it will make the car a lot of fun.

But.... You will out grow it in a year and want a B series anyways...

yes it maybe cheap to find a ls motor at a junkyard, but you are probably going to want to do yourself a favor and at least put new internals in. the motor is there for a reason, meaning either the condition is junk, someone didnt want to fix something on it so they sold it to a yard, or the car it was in got totaled and the motor could still be good
