On my car the pcv valve looks to be an aftermarket one, it looks like a filter. It is plugged into the valve cover, but there is nothing else connected to it. Isn't there supposed to be?

edit: found out it is a crankcase breather filter. Is the pcv system supposed to be hooked into it as well?

Are you sure its the pcv valve?? Is it right next to the oil fill cap??

 

yup, lol thats not the pcv valve is it? That is right where it was on my other car.

 

The pcv doesn't go to your crankcase breather, the crankcase breather should be routed into your intake, and not have a little ricey filter on it.

Yah.. that would be the breather. The PCV valve is located on the top of your intake manifold i believe - it can be a bitch to get to.
