Default Gingerman Lap Times

Did any spectator time any cars that were out on the track? I know it's not a race, but I'm sure many of us are interested in knowing how the cars stacked up.

Or better yet, anyone has video from the event? Either in-car or from the track side?

Thanks.

I sucked it up with a 1:39, and a number of 1:40/1:41's at the end of Sunday with a passenger (hey, stupid pig already weighs 2520, I don't need more help!).

I'm wondering how much slower I am than CanuckR, I thought I remember he had a 1:36 at some point on street tires.

Rumors comfirmed: Best of 1:35.33.....with alot of high 35s.....I need race tires

I had the most trouble catching Charlie in traffic..........It took me at least 12 last to get close enough to go for the pass..........until I ran out of gas in 7-8 I would say Charlie and Wai are both in the deep 36s

Chris,

I just went through my times for the 2nd day and it seems we were running the same times. I managed a 139.1 but found most of my other laps to be between 140.0 and 141.0. I was carrying a passenger for all my runs on the 2nd day and unfortunately my data logger lost my data for day one.

I saw that the Spoon R was staying ahead of the top setup EG, but Wai said he was slower than the Evo. Either way all those 3 cars are sick. x2398474985

What's that work out to in American seconds?

Yeah, you were quick out there. I wish I had switched tires before cords were poking out of them Oh well, 225/45R15 Toyos have hit the shores and I'm getting mine mounted and shaved tomorrow! Yay!

I've been going to Gingerman since 1999 and speaking from what I have observed throughout the years, any car turns low 1:40's are quick.

Relatively stock Type R's with fast driver can turn high 1:30's. Anything below 1:38's are really good!

Pretty much the same

Wai, thanks for the info... For a while there I though my times were 5 seconds off a respectable pace; now I don't feel so bad runing 1:39.1 - 1:41.0. The extra ballast easily cost me an extra second a lap which puts me right into mid 1:38.

thats awesome, your evo is definatly moving man, in the straights that thing just takes off and holds in the corners, If you dont mind me asking, whats the WHP and weight on that car?

This is itr expo, save the lap timers for HONDA CHALLENGE. This is my p.o.v. I know there were a few side liners watching the whole session. It was my eg (orange wheels) Matt's Evo behind me.

All I passed out there was another eg (white wheels)... Thats it. I then made some distance. I noticed Matt pass that eg(white wheels) as well. After that I had no EVO in my rear view. On the straights or in the turns...I guess everybody has there own opinion on passing distance.

Some might have been blinded watching a civic run as fast if not faster than a EVO8 with an excellent driver. As far as tires go, I was on 2 day old full tread 205/50/15 RA-1. Unlike the 265's on the evo, but I could also use some slicks...

I was slow for the couple of sessions I did. civic_sista pulled to T1 with me at T10 within about 3 laps (starting when I let her by). I think she was on the stock Si tires as well, with me on bald RA1's. I suck on R comps.

145 best and a few 146s for me in canuckr's caR for the first time on this track... Eh, not too bad.
Thanks Ryan, I really enjoyed the track time.
Just wish I had my R to beat on.
