Has anyone removed the body kit from a Sport yet?
I like the rest of the car, and the other stuff the Sport adds (MP3, aux in, cruise, foglights, leather steering wheel), which is all valuable to me, would cost more to add than $1300.
But I don't like the bodywork, it makes the car look heavy and even taller than it already is. Too much like a van.
I found a thread on edmunds.com here that said it leaves a bunch of holes, but these are holes that are present in the base Fit, just plugged with rubber caps. Does anyone have a part number for the plugs?

I would imagine the dealer to have these plugs available but I could be very wrong. I agree about the body kit which is why I opted for the base model. It was not a cost thing. I just want it to look a bit cleaner. If you do it... show us. Congrats on the car.

if you go to handaaccessories.com you can order everything seperately if you want (but i would just get some lighter weight aftermarkets than the alloys the Sport comes with), but the downside is that you would lose the 5 speed paddle shifter found on the Sport.

Well yeah, but..
Keyless entry kit: $108
Security system kit: $120
Leather steering wheel cover: $47
Fog light kit: $238
...
You can see how that would easily surpass the Sport's $1300 price tag once you add in the stereo. I agree with you about the wheels, though.

The paddle shifters are the only thing I regret not having but to me... a daily driver... this is more than acceptable to be without. This is not intended to be a fast car. Well, to me anyways. "All Show... No Go!" That's my plan.

no joke, Spoon raced one of these a couple years ago, and maybe last yr. in the 25 hours at thunder hill, and it was cruisin along pretty stout. Not to mention that Spoon brings the hotties to the racetrack.

Lets get it all in there. I seen the pinky with the k20. I know what they can do. I am talking my personal plans for my car. Either way... I am happy and I hope you all are as well... no matter which route you choose as far as riding stock or super mods for days.
