Default Anyone in San Fernando Valley help me out?

Hey all.

I just recently bought an 85 CRX as a DD.

I THINK I may be rolling on some unbalanced tires and was wondering if anyone has 2 steelies that they know are alright and will let me throw them on real quick and drive around the block.

My car drives fine until I reach about 60-ish (not sure exactly cuz my speedometer doesnt work), and then my steering wheel/front of car begins to shake pretty harshly. it doesn't get much worse after that though. I want to be driving this far distances (like SFV to SD) and don't want to worry about the shaking.

I asked the guys at redpepper and this was one of the diagnoses. Other problems I might have is broken this and that (axle, joint, whatever).

Thanks in advance.

just go get them balanced and get an alignment, it probably needs it anyway.

i was assuming the tires are well worn by now since the previous owner just rode the tires like this for quite some time. also, it's most likely not the alignment since that doesn't cause the shuddering of the steering wheel.

just wanted to do a quick test run before i go spend money on new tires/etc.

I've got a set of spare tires on steel rims, but they are not balanced. If you want to borrow two of them and get them balanced just let me know
