I know this is no tech question but figured you guys would know.. I have a 1992 Honda Civic CX Hatch Back. And it came with a blue interior with a grey/blue headliner. The blue pleather seats and blue dash need a little work and I will be making changes to the interior compontes. And in doing that I would like to stick with the original blue dash cause it is easyer that way and i kinda like the Honda blue with jdm blue highlites.

Anyway what color is it? And maybe if some body knows the numbers that would be great! If not you could point me in the right direction.

Is it just an optical illusion, or is the dash a different color in the driver's door well close to the firewall? It looks black up there.

Maybe it started out black and the sun faded it to blue-tinged black?

I plan to keep it cause it looks good with jdm blue trim.. But any idea what the color is.. I know it is hard to tell from pics but what is a good way to find out. And forget about calling honda cause there like "What 1992.... no idea try ebay." like that helps... well maybe but not likly... Yes black is sharp but I do not wish to replace all the panneling in the car at this point. also the car will be black and that might be a bit much... It is not sun faded black cause for starters IRL it is easy to tell it is blue second the shade is same all through out the car.

So any ideas on were I could go to look this info up... If not thats cool cause I could do more searching of the net. Just thought I would try here first.

Your interior color code should be indicated on a decal on the door jamb.

ok it official I deserve the Caution Noob pic as my avitar... I can't believe I did not notice that before... "INT TYPE E BLUE" and to my suprise the exterier color was also listed with the pait numbers... Does Honda always list there numbers like that... some car companies are funny about not giving them out.

Every Honda and Acura I've encountered has had the interior and exterior codes listed on the decal. The only time it might be missing is if the car has been repaired or repainted in that location and the decal was not replaced afterward.

 

What if you don't have the stickers on the door jamb, how do I find out stock colors then? I bought mine with custom paint, but curious as to what the stock color was.
