MOFO HIT THE CAR!
Man the car was JUST bought 2 weeks ago. Me and Tony were at the bank on Saturday and when we came out of the bank, we saw a pick up truck with lanw mowers in the back stopped there looking at the car. I didnt think anything of it, then when they saw us walking up to the car, they took off really fast. Thats when I realized they hit the freakin car! I had a friend hammer it out a little and put some touch up paint from the dealer but you can still see it. Im so pissed. WTF is wrong with people. The sad thing is I didnt get the license plate in time. Those guys probably didnt have insurance anyways. I was thinking about waiting at the bank this weekend to see if I can catch them.

the bank may have outdoor cameras, they should anyway. Go ask them to see if your car was in the visible area. They may be helpful in getting the plates. If they aren't helpful, ask the cops (assuming you reported it)

Uh, $200-$300 on an NSX, I dont think so. Not unless you do it the cheap way at some ghetto fab shop. I wouldnt want any body filler on my NSX if I had one. Thats just wrong. What you could do though, is check out some of the better paintless dent removal guys. They can do some impressive work. Just make sure they can do it confidently and not mess it up. If they can do it that way, then yeah, I can see it only being $200-$300. But if they cant, dude, Id want another quarter panel.

Um, I dont think so. I mean yeah, its just a dent, but the panel is aluminum. Repairing aluminum vs steel is a little different. Matter of fact, they dont sell NSX door skins, only the complete shell. Why? You can just change the skin on other cars right, why not on an NSX? Little different scenario but, if you had a Ferrari Enzo or something and it got a dent, would you want some body shop slapping some bondo on there and calling it a day?
s2000 are also aluminum ... the shop that i went to fix it just fine .. and even if i have ferrari enzo i wouldnt replace the whole panel cuz of just a dent .. ROFL
and who said just take it to some shop?
take it to some shop you know who can do awesome work ...

Only the hood on the S2000 sir. Not the whole body. If thats the case, lots of cars have aluminum parts. Well, I guess different people have different opinions. I would think though, that a high end reputable shop would opt to replace the quarter panel than to repair it. Depending on the size/type of damage of course.
Had the autobody guy hammer it out already. The pictures were actually after he hammered it out and put the touch up paint. It was smashed in before and paint was chipped off. I cant even think about this. I pisses me off to no end when I think about the situation...
haha since when are s2000's aluminum, only the hood is aluminum, unlike the nsx where almost everything is aluminum
and thats more than $200 damage since u cant slap on bondo on aluminum panel. luckily on the nsx that rear quarter panel unbolts. take it to a specialist not your regular body shop

lol at least you didn't have a porsche 997. i'd go crazy if it were even a little scratch.
btw i was the victim in a hit and run 2 weeks ago. i was getting ready to pull over into a plaza afterwards but i saw him fly past me, so i put my car back into gear and chased him at 80mph in a 40mph one-lane area. had to pass all these cars before i got to him. he's gonna get pwned. or deported! ahaahahahahah

Thats news to me. Many shops are trained in repairing aluminum cars as the nsx isn't the only one out there.

Honestly, thanks for your comments guys. It makes me feel a tad better that we are like a Honda family and others are pissed off with me. Yeah the autobody guy did a pretty good job. It was hard to take a picture of the damage with the sum hitting it. But, without taking credit away from the guy here, he did a good job. Yeah, I wish I chased those bastards down...

ok, spoke to someone at the bank and they may be able to get camera footage. Here is the problem. I have to go through this person and that person, etc in order to get that information/footage. Here is the biggest problem. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I dont think those guys that hit my car are even legal in the US. I would be surprised if they had insurance. In that case, what the heck could I possibly do? The damage can probably be fixed for under $300. Is it worth it ?
