Header hitting the ground....HARD
I got a crx with a ls swap and a dc sports 4-1 HEADER(not headers
) and i noticed a big *** dent in the bottom of it. I dont recall hitting anything so im guessing its overtime bumping the ground and doing thing. Does anyone else have the same problem and is there anything else i can do besides raise the car some??
Thanks,
Jake

I fixxed it for you Toad. BTW that can really suck, I caught a ground hog on a header once, and it vibrated a hole in my oil pan. BAD news.

Most 4-2-1's don't hang as low.

Any thoughts about an Airmass header? I found a good deal on one around here thats claimed to be in great condition and its 4-2-1. I'm not going for an insane power gain, i just dont really want it to hit the ground.

honestly my car is really low too and I have the DC 4-1 header, but my car never bottoms out. I did before but after I installed my coilover suspension its stiff enough so that this problem wont happen. make sure you have decent coilovers though. You definately don't want to bottom out after spending like 1000 dallors just to try to fix this problem. The other thing is o set up your car sot that the back end is just a tad bit higher than your front. Which is also a good set-up for the track anyway. If you lower your front end more than your back not only is it easier for your car to bottom out when you make a corner it will oversteer uncontrollably and your car will feel really out of control.
