Deal Or No Deal?
Alright, even though none of these questions directly deal with a 5th/6th gen Civic, I'm still posting it here, since I own an EG.
In the past few days I've stumbled upon a few deals that I think are great. Tell me if you think they are good or bad, and why or why not. I know its kind of a lame thread, but I'd rather learn something new before I waste some money I could otherwise use.
The first deal was offered on Saturday. Its for an 89 CRX Si with a 97 D16 motor in it. The interior is in great condition, and the exterior has Electric Blue custom paint. Three problems:
1) Two blown struts in the rear. I figured $180 in KYB AGXs.
2) Bad dizzy. $100 at a local used Honda/Acura dealer.
3) Hole in the pass. door. This is due to rust from water run-off, which I hear is common in the CRXs.
Other than that the car looks great. Needs some new tires, but for $500, deal or no deal?
The second deal was offered to me on Tuesday (yesterday). A friend of mine needs some money for whatever reason, and wants to sell me a pair of 2003 black leather S2000 seats and a 99 GSR rear leather seat. The S2000 seats come with the custom EG rails/sliders and are in very nice condition. Almost mint. The catch is that he wants my cloth EG seats.
In exchange for my 94 EX seats and $400, I'm getting a pair of excellent S2000 seats and a GSR leather rear seat. Deal or no deal?
The third deal was offered to me about a month ago. It is for an 88 Accord LXi. Two door, auto tranny, fuel injected, white, AC, PS, PW, PL, sunroof. The interior and exterior are both immaculate. However, a blown A20 motor. He is throwing in a used A20 motor from a junkyard that was good running before it was pulled.
So for a blown 88 Accord LXi in good condition and a used motor to swap, he is asking $500 as well. Deal or no deal?
Sorry it was so long, but I'm sure some of you will be able to help. Thanks for reading all of this.

Says who? My stock seats probably aren't worthless, but hell, what do I know?
I'd say get the CRX. It seems to be in decent condition, considering. Unless you really want the seats. I wouldn't even look at the Accord. But in the end, it's up to you.

Not liking the CRX deal, body work will cost you an arm and a leg.
S2K seat is a pretty good deal I think, ****, I'll take the S2K seats if you don't want them.
Not really into accords, it's a nice car, but are you looking for another one?
