Crx obd0 ecu prob
I have an obd0 jdm b16a swap. I finally got it running right, and i have used this ecu before on the last swap i did with a friend, and it has no rev limit, no governor etc. Vtec supposed to kick it at 4500. But it doesnt kick in. and also it wont let me go past 7k rpm??. When i was doin the swap, my lil brother mixxed up the positive and grounds and touch the positive the grounds a couple times creatin a big spark.
Now could that have damaged the ecu, or any other sensors?? and causing this/?? help if you know anything would be helpfull THNX ALL for helpin me with my other probs!!

i disconected the battery for 30 secs, ( a friend told me it would reset the ecu) and it still did that. Would disconectin the battery and disconectin the ground would make a difference??

are you 100% on your firing order? timing? when it gets to 7k is it just a complete wall like you hit redline? or is does it sputter to get to 7k and not go any further?
and the "red light" is actually on the ecu itself...not by the ecu...
try another KNOWN good ecu...do not assume yours in fine....
if its a chipped ecu (and you say it is) it is very easy for one to malfunction

Its like a red line limit, you see on stock cars when you go on the red line its just doenst let you go over the set limit thats what it does. On the timing and firing order im pretty 99.9 sure thats its set and done right. About the red light i didnt see one on the ecu. Also when i turn the key, the cel never comes one before the car starts. And now that i come to think of it, it has never come on??? Maybe the light is burned out?? or not hooked up correctly on the ecu??. Thnx for the replys!!

the light is directly in the center of the ecu... you cant miss it... the light is supposed to come on when you turn the key to the on position...
