Problems w/ y8 IM on D15B help please!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok pretty much y8 IM is already on and my main problem is that when i give the car gas it has no power at all. So when i floor 1st gear the car is practically going no where and it stays at like 1k-1500 rpm. The first time we took around the block it seemed ok until 3rd gear i cant feel like the motors getting smother after flooring 3rd gear it would not go anywhere. Then each time around the block it just got worst to the point where im at not, flooring 1st gear and not going anywhere.
Does anyone know what could be the problem?? Vacuum lines? sensors?
My guess was vacuum lines but i could not figure out whats going wrong. also noticed on my d15b IM there was a sensor behind it that theres no plug for it on the y8. i think its the iat sensor, where does it go w/ using the y8 IM
Can somone please help my problem, trying to get my car running asap
Maybe can someone show me a diagram?
THANKS

good info! ima check it out tomorrow, thinking it could be my iacv pretty sure some sort of vacuum.
any other help??
any other help??
Where do you have the IAT sensor plugged in now? In the 96-00 Civic, the IAT is on the intake arm coming from the airbox. You could just plug the sensor in and let it read off of the ambient air temp.
Are there any codes from the ecu? Kinda sounds like a bad MAP sensor.

So right now iat is not plugged anywhere since theres no plug for it on the y8 so yes i took out the sensor off the old manifold and just connected it together.
Codes im getting is 10 and 14 iat and iacv

On the back of the Y8 manifold, near the bottom (driver's side), there is a small vacuum connection. Make sure that you have it plugged off!

what throttlebody are you using? is the iat sensor plugged in and just dangling, or unplugged? what are you using for the throttle cable bracket?
make sure that your throttle cable has the correct tension, and its actually opening correctly. if you are using a different throttlebody, might as well check the tps voltage while your at it....that will rule that out.
here is the vacuum diagram from my writeup...it should be close to what you need...

im doin the same thing on a z6 and after i read the link to what Mr. Speaker had, im confused. what air injection are they talking about thats on the flange? the pic is really poor quality can someone explain it?

the only thing you changed was a hollow block of aluminum with another hollow block of aluminum. as long as your vacuum lines are hooked up, your map sensor works, your tps is calibrated and your throttle cable is installed correctly everything should run fine.
did the car run fine before the manifold swap?

i believe so...im using a tps from a b18a1... 88-00 honda/acura tps (that i have seen) all look the same...

ohh yeah one more thing...the d15b tb had a vaccuum line coming from the charcoal canister....the y8 tb doesnt have the vaccuum line, where'd you guys hook that up?
the car was actually running alright i mean it was driveable and i can drive it but every now and then i noticed i guess if ive been driving it for a while, while driving the idle would just drop and the car would just bog everytime i would give it gas.
ok checked everything and found the problem,
it was a bad egr valve! so i just switched it with my old one
runs fine now
thanks for all the help
