D2 coilovers
Hey guys basically I have the opportunity to pick up some D2 coilovers pretty cheap off someone Im just wondering if anyone has experience with them? I know they arent the best but as long as theyre OK Im ok with them.
I have a blown front shock so I need something to hold me over until I decide to go all out on the suspension.
Also how are the tein RS's???
I did a search....

Yup I figured that I should have made that clear - I was just getting people opinions on the RA as a seperate question. My concern right now if the D2 are decent enough for daily driving for now.
Im getting them barely used fairly cheap and need a quick fix thats decent for now. Thanks for the reply
I agree the RS would be much better its just not in the cards at this point.

I have the D2 setup and i love them..
I rode in a few S2k's with Tein's, they are a rougher ride and a little bouncy even on soft settings.
My car is slammed with 1/2 finger gap all around and feels little stiffer than stock, without giving up the ride quality...Don't get me wrong they are still aggresive and can hang with the best of them..
You can adjust them 36 ways if you need to go to the track.. If you don't autocross or track alot then why spend more money? For the "Bling factor"
Just my $.02

my girl hates a soft ride, she prefers it stiff and hard. But i like it when she's bouncy.
so basically the D2's are soft and not as stiff as others. I personally like to feel like im setup for any situation either on the street or track. I like it when that **** shakes your jaw bone loose. So I, personally, wouldnt go for D2's as a perminant choice. But if you want them for temporary i guess it doesnt matter since they would be off your car soon.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will autocross and track but most of all I like a car that handles well. All of the cars I have owned have had upgraded suspension components.
Thanks again for the replies!

If you plan on autox and hpde's, do not buy the D2's! Go with the tein RA's. If you don't want to slam your car, then a cheaper alternative is the GC/Koni combo. It handles very well, street and track.

before purchasing the coilover, u might want to check for rust.. their spring coating tends to come off easy.. .not like eibach, it's not covered by rubber... it's spray painted & it comes off easy..
tein RS is one of best suspension and it is costly compares to D2... D2 is more like low budget suspension.. kinda like omni.. bang for a buck deal.

I have these coilovers and you can adjust them so that they are stiff or soft.. They aren't the firmest coilovers out there but they are still relatively comfortable for the street. They are much stiffer than stock and I don't see rust or hear any weird noises at all
Ive ridin in JDM93Cx car the D2s are nice coilover slightly stiffer than stock but still has that tight feel when you get on them..they do ride nice......I have the Teins my ride little to stiff sometimes but im used to it already
