Default Prestige APS 997 car alarm any good? (remote start w/pager)

I am looking to get one of this, from what i seen online, it has the same features as the DEI alarms but a lot cheaper. Plus it has remote start and LCD pager up to 1/4 mile but I am worry about quality since it's made by Audiovox.

I have always use DEI alarms and never had a problem but they seem over price now....

I have used them alot and never had them eat up a starter. Its going to start your car the same way as you would with a key. But with out the key cylinder being turned. If you are having this problem you need to cut the crank time down just a bit. Its in the programming option. .8 sec's seems to be fine with most cars.
