99-00 civic si
will a wire harness from a 99-00 civic si work with my b16a engine swap into my 96 civic ex? will everything wire up? and i dont have the wireharness that came with the car since it got stripped and stolen..

it's the same harness! same wires, same plugs.
only the the ECU plugs are different for the different generation OBD2s
as long as your motor is OBD2, it's gonna plug right the flip in.

that is an OBD1 ECU.
you need to either obtain a jumper harness, repin the ecu plugs or get the P2T ECU from a 99-00 OBD2B Civic Si
Your Civic EX is an OBD2A which used a P2P, you had to modify that harness or get a jumper in order for it to work with a P30

just use your 96 harness extend the two wires you need for the vtec get your obd2a-1 conversion harness that will save you so much more money than trying to get a si harness.

1) if you read, he said his ex harness was stolen
2) you dont have to extend or add wires to the EX harness, it has vtec prewired (vtec motor equiped
)

i have swapped out motor in my old hatch like 10 times....it was a 97 and i always used the same harness....96-98 ex harness is what u need to make things easier and cleaner
