the 96 is OBD2a and the Si will be OBD2b.

Otherwise the engine harness is the same, the cabin harness similar except for the ecu plugs

it's the same harness! same wires, same plugs.

only the the ECU plugs are different for the different generation OBD2s

as long as your motor is OBD2, it's gonna plug right the flip in.

that is an OBD1 ECU.
you need to either obtain a jumper harness, repin the ecu plugs or get the P2T ECU from a 99-00 OBD2B Civic Si

Your Civic EX is an OBD2A which used a P2P, you had to modify that harness or get a jumper in order for it to work with a P30

christ, this is all covered by searching.

bluntly speaking. The 99-00 Civic Si harness is the exact same harness as the 96 Ex.

just use your 96 harness extend the two wires you need for the vtec get your obd2a-1 conversion harness that will save you so much more money than trying to get a si harness.

1) if you read, he said his ex harness was stolen
2) you dont have to extend or add wires to the EX harness, it has vtec prewired (vtec motor equiped )
3) if'ts the same harness as the Si. identical.
