Default URGENT: Cleaned re-re IAC now it wont start

So I just took off my IACV because my idle has been acting funny. I had cleaned it a week or two ago but I figured maybe it was leaking so Id throw a little rtv on the gasket surface. So I replaced it, plugged it in and now the car wont start!

No codes or anything, and sometimes it gives a little burp and tries to start but doesnt. Even feathering the gas doesnt do anything. It was running fine until the idle started moving around a little this morning and I need it to get to work in the morning! Help!

either it clogged something or it's leaking, I've experienced this problem with the IACV too many times, I don't even take it off anymore, need to make sure both sides are thoroughly cleaned and scraped b4 applying the new gasket, and that liquid gasket **** don't work half the time so use a real gasket :-\

I hate that crap, it's happend to me like 3x

EDIT:My orig post may be way off, I just re-read ur post and I read it wrong...

It's possible that junk got in there and solidified, try taking it off and cleaning it thoroughly again, I highly recommend having a new OEM gasket though :-\

Well I got it running. It seems though that I can get it back to a normal idle by screwing the idle screw in tighter. This works at least temporarily.
