PLEASE HELP 00 civic BELTS???

Default PLEASE HELP 00 civic BELTS???

so the car is a 2000 civic ex auto 90,000

the car has been down for like a month and a hlaf untill i changed my starter
well the car started fine but now the belts are squealing really really loud.

THey are also smoking real bad.

i have checked they seem fine no roiting or cracks
I also pushed on them with my hands and they feel tight

I REALLY NEED SOME HELP

That can't be good.
Try spraying some silacone spray on them.
If the squealing goes away just replace the belts.

As for them smoking make sure there is nothing caught in between the belts and pulleys. Did you do anything to the belts recently.

replace the belts. if they are smoking, they are done.

Change your belts. And read(if you have one) your service manual.

90,000
That should explain it right there.
