Default Need Helping ON

Hey guys, i have a 95 accord ex 4dr in very good shape. I might be selling the car next month or so (THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE AD). I need help determining the price i should set for it to sell. It has 170k on it, no rust, minor scratches.

The work i did to the car was new battery, tires, brakes all around, new suspenion, master cycylder. The car basically needs nothing. I just have to sell it for personal reasons. Hate to let it go but i have too. I live in NY. I have checked KBB for an idea. I was thinking 4000 or best offer. what do you guys think?

Good job reading the rules.
Give us some pictures. It can be worth a thousand words or thousands of dollars

is your bumper lens missing or smoked?
I would say you can probably get close to what you want judging by the picture and your description.
Pretty clean looking car BTW

Depends on who is buying it. Unless you have a young buyer who interested driving a car like that you're not gonna get the book value for it because its not "all original"

well do you guys think 4000 or best offer is reasonable for it? That pic was taken last yr. Now i have some stock CL rims. Car still looks pretty much the same minus the rims. I know the car has lots of miles but ive owned this car for about 2 yrs and I love hondas lol. Hate to see it go. ANother thing is that the car only sees action during the weekends becasue during the week i drive my work truck.

Thanks for the compliments too!

It's hard to say. I would have to see the engine, hear the engine, feel the ride, and check to see what works, and what doesn't. You could get more, or you could get less, depending on these factors.

Modifications to a car decrease it's value... I would think that the mom who's buying the car for her punk-*** kid would know that those things don't make the car worth more money.

Price the car as if it had no modifications. I would never pay more for a car just b/c it has a lip, CL wheels, and suspension. Heck, I would personally never even buy a car that's been modded. Most people assume that a modded car has been beat on, and frankly, so would I.

No offense... Good luck with your sale.

Yep, phil is 100% correct that's why I went for the 3500-4k mark, some people are all over completely stock, you paid 5000 for your 96 because it was stock and wasn't beat on. Any car that's lowered faces alot of problems if done incorrectly. Non-stock corners, wheels, lip, etc will decrease the value. Parents won't buy the car for their kids. It'll probably be a kid wanting to buy a first car with some work already done on it.
