HotRod teams are making what, about 900-1000 WHP on Methanol?
As for Gasoline, Jasen Pennman was making about 840 WHP with a B-series, and I think Mat Keller is making more than that to be running 167 MPH traps in his K-series car.

Also you have to remember than when reaching the higher numbers(see: 1000WHP and above) that a lot of teams us closed deck blocks and what not. Not too much OEM stuff from what I can think. Pretty much just a make name, in this case Honda, and a shell name.

Presicion uses golden eagle sleeves available to everyone of us. Many on this board DD on them.

MPH tells alot, but not the whole story once you start getting over 150mph. Aerodynamics plays a big role at those kinds of speeds. The faster you go, the more of a difference aerodynamics plays. You can get a good general idea from trap speed though. I think Stephanie Eggum has gone 183 with a very aerodynamic front end. Kenny Tran 181 or 182, also very aerodynamic. Gary G. 180 a FEW YEARS AGO! with an aerodynamic front end. I don't think kenny has seen over 180 this year with the old style front end. Chuck has gone 177mph with a very un aerodynamic front end. My guess is that all those cars are within 150hp of one another. Between 950 and 1100hp. I really don't think anyone is making more than 1100hp.

Norwood. And it was a one off custom project.
Most whp belongs to someone in Hotrod. But good luck getting their real numbers out of them.

Norwoods wasn't anything close to a honda block, nor did it ever make 4000hp. It was a billet 5L. motor built by Batten and it made 1800bhp on alcohol. A few hundred more than GM is making in their 2.0LEcotec that's in the Pro FWD car.
