In February I was invited by Microsoft to do a dyno session to have my ITR recorded for the audio bits for a modified Integra Type-R for the upcoming Forza Motorsports 2. I've been patiently sitting on my hands since then because of non-disclosure agreements, so I couldn't share this exciting news until now. They announced the game just a little bit ago at E3, so now that the public knows, I can go ahead and brag

I had a great time doing the recording. They took the sound bits with 11 microphones placed around the car, the engine bay (even one sticking up my velocity stack), and three by the muffler. Now I have a bunch of MP3's of my car!

I don't own an Xbox, but after this I might have to get one just to drive my car around the track.

They even wrote an article about me and my car, which is kinda neet as well.

Anyone play the original Forza? How does it play compared to the likes of GT4...?

Saw the topic had to post even though I don't have an ITR

Awesome game, amazing gameplay and sounds. It's like the GT for Xbox, PGR is an arcade style racer, Forza is incredibly realistic. GT4 is still king of the racers though, but I have a feeling Forza 2 will be a really good clone of GT4/5 on the Xbox

yay! my car was in the original, but it isn't ready for recording for #2 and i've missed their schedule, i think. stock exhaust = bleh.

FORZA &gt; GT4 and i own both so im completely unbiased....I really liked the GT line until GT4 where they somehow came to the conclusion that just because they gave us better graphics and more cars that they could ruin the physics function and the sound

 

I'm thinking its the 3rd clip...

It is really cool to have this oppourtunity. When I am 40 I can play Forza2 and be like, 'Yep, thats me'.

I can't tell you which audio clip is mine, but it should be fairly obvious...

I am really glad the way the article turned out. Che, the writer, basically emailed me a list of questions and I answered them and he turned it into this finely written piece. I am proud to be represented with such a great article.
