Alright well this is the story
I got a DOHC zc from a buddy of mine. it was in his 90 hatch but he is parting out the hatch so i bought the motor it ran great in his car and i drove it right before we pulled it out of his car.. i had the motor sitting for about 1 1/2 weeks, because i painted it and changed out a few gaskets... last night i did the swap and then this morning i finished it... i got to start it up and it starts right up no problems... i check all the coolant and everything... add a little...

Let the car idle for a lil and then i turned it on and off a few times.. not in a row but over a period of about 30 min.. well i go to start it again and its sitting there idleing and then the stock tach on my cluster goes crazy (be idleing at like 1k then the tach would just start reading 0 and then go up and the motor would want to die) it is throwing 1 check engine light for code 9 (cam angle sensor) wich i just have to wire... when the car goes crazy i see my check engine like get dim and then if i give it gas it cuts in and out...

Some one please help me out here i duno wat to do... i thought it might be groundes so i cleaned up a few of them and added a couple more.... please respond asap this is my only car running right now (my civic hatch is sitting with no motor) and this car is my daily driver.. thanks a lot

 

you check your timing? What car did you throw it in?

 

i threw it into a 88 crx si...

i figured it all out.. it was my ground for my thermostat housing...
