there was a white 3rd gen there also, but it got in a bad wreck on Sunday

 

what the hell are the miata's(mx5) doing in a Honda Challenge race ???

 

we ran in the same run group with the spec miata class. There was 20 Honda challenge cars and 15 spec miatas in the field. Sort of like 2 races on the same track a the same time there was not enough time in the day to have each race class have it own practice/qualifying/race sessions so they have to run some classes together. There was a split start with HC in front and the spec miatas behind us, but it didn't take too long to start lapping them. NASA also runs HPDE groups during the day so they need their own sessions also.

 

Do those Miatas do pretty well?
