Default subwoofer box terminals

my shop put a terminal on each side of the box for each 12 that i have for some reason.. they mustve thought i had a 2 channel amp. but anyways, would this add more resistance when they combined the two speakers near the amp and then connected it to the output? is there a way i can check impedence with a multimeter or do i have to check the wiring?

Well, it's not going to make a whole lot of difference. But if you're concerned, just rewire the speakers in the box to just one terminal.
