lambo vertical doors
I have a 97 acoord 2door ex and was searching on ebay for the lambo door kit and they sell them as low *** 280.00. I looked at the guy's feedback and he seemed to have a pretty good amount of feedback from buyers who have purchased the kit for other cars. so im wondering what king of experiences has any one else had with these. or maybe what you guys think?????
Leave lambo doors to Lamborghini's, they are really tacky on accords/civics you don;t want ppl to laugh at you. As for as the quality of a 300.00 kit, a real lambo door kit( vertical doors inc.) costs about 1800. don't lambo the accord
someone did it to their 6th gen red coupe and they had to remove the front fenders to install the kit.......and sorry to say accord with lambo doors is gayer than Richard Simmons in the 80's

Well lets give some real advice here.
The ups and down of Lambo doors
#1 there is no perfect retrofit kit for any Honda. Hondas were not designed to have lambo doors therefore making them have them will not work seamlessly
#2 the nearly always damage the front fender
#3 you have to "hunt" for the latch in order to close the door.
#4 someone trying to open the door as a normal door can very easily break it (a real lambo can take it, or just won't lt you do it)
#5 it makes your doors difficult to clean
#6 I have never seen a clean Lambo job on any Honda (they always look hideous)
#7 you have to strech the wiring harness to the door (either by pulling more out of the car body or extending the wires)
Hope that helps out some.

I've seen pictures of Accord's with them on there and they were members on H-T. I think there may even be one or two in the Accord Picture Thread.
Also, so most of the Accord forum people don't care for the "lambo" doors, thats fine. But it's not our car, it's his/hers. Thet them do what they like.

I had a friend a while back with them on a 6th gen and he ended up taking them off because they were just too much trouble. They were expensive and no matter what he did they just didn't fit right. He ended up selling them on ebay.....
I'll see if he has any pics....
Personally unless I was making a crazy show car (which I don't ever see myself doing) I wouldn't even consider having them but like TouringAccord stated it is your car and if lambo doors float your boat it's all good.
