I want to spend about $600 to $800 on a band saw?
I have the HF one, and it does the job well, but I want to get something more reliable and accurate.
What do you guys recommend in that price range?

I have the HF 4x6 bandsaw also, and it takes FOREVER to cut in the horizontal position. Being the impatient person that I am, it's quite fraustrating. I've converted mine with a 12"x12" table and use it in vertical position only for relatively thin stuff. I've been considering this saw for a while: http://www.harborfreight.com/c...93507.
The R&D department at my company has one of them. It's made by JET I believe, but it's essentially the same saw. I'm going to take a few pieces from home to work tomorrow and test it out. I'll let you know how it goes.
As far as accuracy goes, you won't be making any space shuttle parts with it (or any saw within your price range for that matter), but I don't think it's a terribly inaccurate saw.

If your talking about the band saw from HF that's green, and has it's own stand I have the same one. It always screws up when cutting in the vertical position, but it's good in the horizontal position. I'm thinking about getting a better bandsaw (this one was only about 100-200$)
