has anyone put tsx mirrors on an 03 accord yet. my brother owns a body shop and he has his mirrors and the tsx mirrors torn down and hes trying to figure it out. but hes looking for pointers, any input would be great.

 

if he has a body shop, he should be able to put them on without our input and then wire the turn signal and splice them into the front signal wires. I tried with a set of 02 TL's on a 6th gen accord and it didnt fit...

 

I'm sure its possible, our cars are about the same.

I am awfully certain that it hasn't been done yet, but there could be people out there that have.

It shouldn't be hard if the dimensions are about the same, which I figure there are. Hardest thing will be the wiring to the motor that operates the mirror, you can find the wiring diagram online, there is more than one site that has it.

 

The mirror wiring shouldnt be bad since both have power mirrors, hopefully the harnesses would just splice together. Hard part would be drilling new bolt holes if they don't line up.

 

well the wiring is easy thats a cake walk. the problem is we have to use the accord base and the tsx mirrior. i think i got him going though, i took the lock rings off the shaft that the mirror housing folds on. were going to put the accord shaft through th tsx mirror. but were going to have to trim on openeing in the accord base for a small portion of the tsx mirror to go into it when its folded out( you wont see the opening that way). i dunno if we get it ill get him to take some pics and email em to me so i can post em. thanks for your input guys.

Keep in mind the 05 Accord Hybrid comes stock with turn signal mirrors that look exactly like the ones on the TSX, so I would bet it will be a perfect fit. The wiring is what would keep me from this mod!

If you have a coupe good luck. If you have a sedan I can offer advice. You want to use the whole TSX mirror. Don't disassemble anything.

Take the whole TSX mirror (base and all) and set it where it should go. It will fit pretty close with just a little gapping that can be made to look perfect with some weather stripping. You WILL have to drill new holes on the car side for the bolts to come through but as long as you line them up it will mount up fine.
