how to tell apart jun stage 3 cams???
Yes, Jun was pretty good in handling the breakage. They asked me to send them the head for testing, which I did. They sent it to their R&D facility in Japan where they tested the cam and examined the head to ensure that it was not installer error. The cam was within manufacturing tolerances, but they still decided to repair the head, as they were not sure what caused it to break.
My only gripe is that it takes soooooooo long. The head repair should be completed by the end of the week. It should be shipped back to Jun USA by then end of next week, and I should have it back somtime the following week. It has been four weeks since they recevied the head at JUN USA. There were some delays, like one week to ship to Japan, and then a few days to send it from their main facility in Japan to their R&D facility. Then they had to wait a few days to get the new exhaust valves.
I can't complain though, Todd at JUN gets a big
in my book. He keeps me informed of every step in the process.
