Default Just brought my S home!!

So finally after wanting an S2000 for two years I finally picked mine up at the dealership today. Let me say as i'm sure all of you know this is an amazing car, drove around for like 2 hours today and let me say it was an absolute joy. However some things I don't like about my S. I am a little pissed off at the dealership, they put crappy tires on the car, Sumitomo HTR H4. Well I think they are crappy, maybe i'm wrong, I know they are all season tires. Also I feel like the clutch may need to be replaced sooner than it should be. I could be wrong about this as I am not used to the car and how the clutch is supposed to feel, most likely this is the case. Also the interior lights do not work.... bulbs are obviously burnt out! Additionally the car has an aftermarket head unit because of which the stereo controls to the left of the steering wheel do not work. The head unit is a Panasonic, I am not sure which model it is but it has no buttons on it, so its basically all touch screen and thankfully it is sirius ready so I can listen to howard. My question is, is there any way that I can hook the volume and stereo controls up to this head unit. Also what do you guys think of the tires that are on the car. Well anyways overall a pretty good day. PEACE!!

Get good tires. Your car's performance depends on it

The clutch is one of the better feeling ones of the Honda family. If you notice a decreased performance, you should have it checked out or replaced.

Modifry DCI has a solution for aftermarket head units to work with the OEM dash controls, but I'm not sure about Panasonic compatibility.

Good luck, enjoy the car, and respect it. It will kick you in the *** if you don't.

Congrats on the purchase.

Definitely get better tires....it's the difference between driving a convertible Civic or experiencing the S2000.

Also do yourself a favor (and this forum) by searching for:

1. Secret compartment
2. Gas release
3. Maintenance required light
4. Launching your s2000
5. tonneau cover
6. seatbelt squeak
7. oil
8. carbon fiber
9. wheel offset
10. gear grind
11. diff noise

Searching for each one of those topics should give you a fairly good headstart on the typical questions you may be hinckering to ask. You'll get a good read on what others have said in the past here on H-T and also on S2Ki.com if you search for these items there.
