Default 92 eg (stock) problems runnig

i realize probobly the first problem is it is "stock" but the car will start then the rpm's drop and it stalls.... i have replaced the plugs and wires.... the fuel pump and the fuel filter... so the car is getting fuel and spark.... is there anything else i can do??? i just need the car to last a few more months.... i am planning on building a cr-vtech....................

Is there a check engine light?

It must be a hell of a swap building a motor with a vtech phone head. Make sure you to 4000 KHz or more for vtec to kick in

Hold on now, just because it has new plugs and wires doesn't mean it has spark all the time, and just because you have a new fuel pump and filter doesn't mean it has fuel all the time. You should really test the spark, and test for fueling. When you start it, try giving it some gas, not a lot, and just see if it keeps it running. My last del sol wouldn't idle cold by itself, i'd have to hold the rpm at like 1500 for like a min.

Check the CEL. Just because the light goes out doesn't mean your ECU isn't storing the CEL.

Buy a throttle body gasket and some carb cleaner, remove the throttle body, scrape off the old gasket, and clean all the **** out of it including all the little ports. Then take off your IACV and squirt the **** out of the screen. Next, pop out your PCV, squirt the **** out of it from both ends, shake it and make sure the little ball inside is rolling back and forth. If not, buy another one. Check the ignition timing. Take off the distributer cap, see if the little buttons are worn down or if there's cracks or burn marks inside, replace it if you have to or take a wire brush and scrape off the buttons. If the rotor is worn down, replace it. If not, hit it with the wire brush.

check your pcv valve. it's the one little & cheap thing people seem to over look. if your pcv valve is bad it will cause your engine to do this.
