I have a 93 honda civic EX (non-abs). I recently completed an OBD1 B18B1 swap into my EJ, and i simply cannot handle this midwest HEAT w/o AC...plus the fact that the girlfriends face is melting off, haha. So HT, I hope you can simplify this for me:

I have both the R12 system (from my old d16z6 motor) and the R-134 system (from a 95 integra LS). Now, i've searched and found that I may have to buy the Del Sol VTEC AC bracket in order to install my R12 civic AC system.

QUESTION:

1. Does anybody have feedback on making the integra AC system fit in my engine bay?

2. Are the civic/integra parts interchangable?

I've asked locally around town...and most of the folks here just say its easier to use the civic AC system. Some have even told me just to use the LS bracket and "use 2 of the bolts"

as far as I know it's easier to use the Civic's old a/c system and get the Del sol bracket, if I'm guessing right, you disconnected the A/C system and have had the A/C lines just sitting open in your engine bay.. if this is correct your going to need the system cleaned out before loading the system with R12 or R-134. you might even need to change all the o rings out just for good measure so there won't be a need to check for leaks cause your ac doesn't blow cold anymore after a few months. after getting the bracket make sure you find a A/C person to chit chat about if it needs to be cleaned out and o rings replaced.
