Running cars on lower gears?

I have a 98' Honda Civic SI (automatic) and for about 1000km i was driving in D3 (for uphills, etc..) insead of D4 (normal driving). Would this could of messed with my cars Transmission?

As stated above, wrong forum.
But to answer your question, you probably didn't damage anything. You most likely only suffered shitty gas mileage, but your transmission is probably okay. It may have gotten a little hotter than normal, so if you're concerned, drain the fluid and fill with fresh. But since you say that you're not good with cars, you're probably better off taking it to a mechanic for a flush & fill...
