Does anyone know any tricks for this.....?
I am trying to take off the black mud guards under my doors for my 99 GSR and the only way I have found to remove the screw type clips underneath is to use needle nose pliers. Now these are the 6 clips underneath. Does anyone have any other ways to do this because each one takes forever to try and turn and pull out..?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and also another ? is once these 6 or so are out can I just pull the guard out and towards the front to get it off or are there other screws that need to be taken off?? Thanks again guys you have been great with all other questions that I have had.
probaby..my local hardware store even carries it...go to Autozone and ask for a clip remover...they're pretty common
I don't know if it's the same clips I had to pemove when I put in my AEM. If they are, then all you need is a flat head screwdriver. There should be a flat surface on the side of the plug, stick your flathead in there. Push until it pops the middle part out. Once you do that, just remove the plug.
If this isn't it, then I'm sorry. It's early (I just woke up) and I propable didn't read/uderstand the post as much as I should have...

The clips under the side skirts should have a plastic phillips head screw in them which you loosen, and then pull the clip out. After they are all out, slide the whole side skirt forward and then remove it from the car.
Thanks guys I really appreciate it, You guys are always of good assistance. I'll try again tonight, I was able to get a few off, but it was taking forever....
