Modifying- How soon is too soon?
So I recently bought my 06 Type-S and I love it. I want to start giving her some simple mods like a cai, exhaust etc... but I heard somewhere that you don't want to mod too early. I have almost 2000 miles on it. Is there any real danger in modifying a car this early? Thanks in advance.
at 2000, no. The seals should have set and then engine should be broken in fine. Get yourself an oil change to get that factory breakin fluid out, and go to town on it.
Too early would be, off the showroom floor. Congrats on the new car. It's ready to have it cherry popped. I've go with what you have planned so far, if you like looks, a nice set of springs does wonders for a car and handeling.

Like he said, have the oil changed if you haven't already but if you want to you can have them put in synthetic. I know most dealerships put in the same generic Honda oil which isn't that bad for a daily driver but syn is just a better lube. Sometimes you have to ask for it, I know when I got my oil changed I had to tell them synthetic and I brought my own and they just charged me for the change and filter. An yes 2000 miles should be enough miles for mild upgrades, just on't go apeshit for a few thousand more to make sure everything is going to last.
