Just curious to see what people are using (brands) for the rear lower tie bar, and if they really do make any kind of handling difference. thanks.
Honestly I just think they look cool... for the money get a suspension techniques rear sway bar... I love mine on the CRX.
I have the tie bar on the integra and I couldn't tell the difference.

With a 22mm rear sway bar (Type R bar) and a good set of coilovers, I don't see any need at all for a lower tie bar. It would make me too tail-happy and more prone to lose control in hard turns.
I didn't feel that much on my neuspeed rear lower tie bar. I think its worth the buy though. Heres a photo of mine, my exhuast piping isn't the best out there.
i am using a cheap brand from a local perfromance shop and i notice a small amount of difference.my girlfriend notice a little difference with hers also.if you can get them for good price then i would get it.it also looks good!

i am kinda into making my own stuff. me and a friend made our own from 1" conduit pipe and flatten the ends and drilled hole and presto. does make a diff.
I have a zspeed bar, I felt tad bit difference at high speed cornering in the rear....but i had it on before any other suspension parts and after everything else the car felt really solid and nice...I say that all the bars are the same no difference except for price. Go for it although I dont know how the rear end will react if teamed with a stiff swaybar as well...that sounds like merry-go-round time!
Try to find one that doesn't have rod ends, so that it can't rotate around the attachment points. Bars like the Neuspeed will only limit movement around the center of the bar. It's probably not a big deal, but I'm super duper **** and everything "should" be ideal. I think the Cusco bars don't have rod ends on them and is just a straight solid bar with holes on the end. Heck, you should just make one.
Maybe someone can help me on this one. I have the front upper and rear upper strut bars on now..and want to put my lower one on. From the looks of it though, I am going to have to basically take everything off in order to get the bar on (not just take 2 bolts off, but I am going to have to take off the wheels, unbolt the rear tie bar, unbolt the angled rods that look like if I take off the bolts they will slam in to the ground and not be a good thing). Am I going to have to do a lot of work, or is my CRX tricking me cuz it doesn't want it on there?

rear lower tie bars are an awesome improvement on your cars handling...they dont just look good, but an upgraded sway bar definatleyis also a nice addition as well. so just get both.
why are the 91 sway bars alot more expensive that someof the sway bars for newer civics?
i noticed that the 99-00 sway bar is lik 230 [neuspeed] and the 91 is like 425 [neuspeed also]

When you say rod ends, you are talking about having that spherical bearing at the attachment points right? So just avoid anything that allows that 360 degree movement... yeah?

Yeah. I devoted Saturday as the CRX day. Changed the oil, cleaned her up, put on the strut bar, cleaned the engine bay, looked for stuff to break so I could have an excuse to fix it
... Anyways, it turned out pretty nice. I like the look:
