Default d series IAC on h22 mani

well i broke down and put the intake mani back on (sold the itbs) so i guess this means its boost time .

i had a D series IAC hooked up for the itbs but i sold my lude one for some reason .

the ports line up and bolt up but it seem to be acting wierd , when i first start the car it revs to 2500 relly qucik then down to 750 ish . after driving it idles at 500.

plus i can hear it opening and closing .

any ideas ?

thanks

Clean the IACV screen.

Also, what type of intake manifold gasket did you put on ? OEM honda paper ? Sure you dont have a giant vac leak ? manifold bolts torqued up ? All necessary vac lines not ripped and plugged in ?

The hum you hear when you turn your key to the ACC position is the fuel pump priming. Not the IACV.

no this really is the iac, you can feel it "humming and its constant as long as the key is on , the fuel pump is only on for a second , mabye its so dirty its not allowing it to get in the posistion its supposed to bein

i can put my hand over the TB and the car stall instantly , so that rules out any major vac leaks , acctually when i unplug a vac line the car runs a bit better .

i havent cleaned it out yet but i will tonight .

its funny cause any time i touch the gas you can hear the iac slap open and you get the honda suckage sound , it also bucks around if i dont slip the clutch right .

thanks for the ideas

found out what it was , im using a f20b lower intake mani and h23 top half ,

well the f20 TB from the factory is completly closed (as in it doesnt assist in the idle )

it had 2 ports that it idle s form and with the h23 top half it only uses one so the engine was figting for air . i adjusted the trottle plate it set it to idle at 750ish and it works great
