Where do I go from here
I've got a K20a2/K24a1 setup on a 02 EP3 with Toda n2 camshafts and toda springs and retainers and a Tanabe medallion (hyper) My question is I want to boost it but what setup is the best. I still have complete all 3 engines and a few people have told me that the a3 is better with forced induction. I am also torn between the full race stage kit or the cybernation stage 2 or 3 kit. Please any knowledge with merit would help. (Please no info from that guy who runs low 13's with the 2000 Civic EX with just i/h/e) Thanks.
So you have a k20/k24 setup already on your car? Shouldnt those be putting out around 240 Whp? But anyways if you want to turbo the motor, go with a custom turbo kit. Just piece together the parts yourself and you will save a bunch of money and will also end up with better quality parts. Your going to have to run more boost on the EP3 engine in order to make the same power on lower boost with the Type S engine. Im not sure how much the price difference between the two engines are, but if the EP3 Si engine is alot cheaper, you should use that, b/c you can always turn up the boost to make the same amount of power. And if your going to be keeping the motor stock, the limit is going to be around 300whp, so it doesnt really matter what motor you have b/c you cant reliably go past 300whp.
do you have a k20 head on a k24 block is that what your saying because the k24 has more liters (2.4) so that will be better for boost and if you have toda cams i think thats too aggressive for turbo and your better off running stock cams and valve springs on a turbo setup you cant just turn an all motor car into a turbo car
also if your looking for a good setup i think you should just get a turbo kit like HKS or Cybernation because its going to come with everything you need and you wont have to worry about missing something

you have a GREAT turbo set up, minus the cams and semi small cat back. Which 2.4 block are you using? the CRV has the lowest compression, then I think the Accord, then the Element and lastly the TSX...

as an owner of a CN kit, I can say whole heartedly, Full-Race. CN made a manifold (generic) and downpipe (generic) and called it their kit. Go with something of quality and save yourself a ton of headaches.
i know this post is kinda old but with the k24 block were you able to put a header on your car? because i think theres some clearance issues
