I'm trying to remove and swap out my friend's auto tranny with another one and I'm having trouble separating the tranny from the engine block. I removed all the bolts, including the bolts on the rear engine mount.
When you do that kind of job... you want to make sure you have all the bolts under and behind the tranny firts, so when the last ones are up to be removed, they can be easily accesed from the top. That is just safer. Be sure to have something ready to hold the tranny when you drop it.
When I swapped my 5sp gear box for another one, I had 3 jacks and 2 big rocks to do the job.
