I sold a trans to this guy and it turns out the diff was messed up so i paid for a new diff for him since thats what he wanted but he said that this trans does not have b seires interials so my question to you guys is if this is a b series diff thanks guys

 

that is not a diff at all... that is the diff bearings, on some kind of fucked up shaft...

count the teeth on the ring gear-

64 = 4.266 final drive (on LS transmissions)

66 = 4.4 (GSR/ b16/ ITR)

 

The question is whether he installed the trans and ran it before asking for a replacement?

well i dont know but i know for a fact that that trans worked because i went for a test drive in that car before i bought it i went for a test drive on friday and by monday i had it

 

but its deffenatly a b series diff right ?? he says he tried like 7 different diff and none work. heres the storry really quick
I buy trans for 600 need cash so sell it for 500 (had credit card payment)
he pms me telling me the diff is messed up i say oh expletive man sorry i didnt know that i will refund his money in a week or so he said all he really needs is a diff if i can get him that its cool. so i do i buy one from a h-t member and have him deal with it after i pay for shipping ask the guy and made sure to ask that the diff worked he said it did. so then the guy pm/,s me saying that he hates to tell me but that trans doesnt have b series internal no diff works.
the thing about the story is that he wanted to swap this diff into a cable trans so he can keep another lsd diff , he wanted to something i didnt pay much attention too he wanted to trade diffs from different trans to another so he could keep his lsd or something like that. and that he sold the diff i had bought him

 

sounds a little too shady. i wouldn't worry about it sounds like you got a scammer on your hands

 

its a non lsd diff, if that helps. And YEs, it looks to be a B series.

 

if anything tell him to send it back to you and check up on his reputation. He may be trying to scam you.
