"What is best" is a very vague question, since best is very subjective to what you want. Ask yourself this, what are your plans for this car (ie. daily driver or racing), how much do you want to spend, do I have the time to invest in this car if it is necessary? These are some basic questions, but you must know what your general preferences are.

I like the '94/'95 five speeds, and the '06/'07 six speeds.

I like my 6th gen car but it has not been as reliable as my 5th gen (I had to replace trans)

If you get a 5th gen, get an OBD1 model. That will help you out because as far as I know, an OBD1 H22a (if that is the route you choose to take) is a lot cheaper than an OBD2 H22a, not to mention it is easier to tune and stuff like inspections would be easier to pass if you were to swap motors. Good luck with it all!

Cars after 1995 became OBD2, but I am sure that some 1995's were OBD2 depending on the manufactured date.

Out of all accords, i liked the 94-95's when they first came out. Now they look a bit dated but with some black housing headlights and painted lips, they look great. Next would be 2001-2002 coupes. As for what i would own now, the current model with a 6 speed. But i think it's the ugliest accord to date personally.

92 and 93 i think look the best, are pretty dang light and are pretty easy to work with. and you can get them for cheap

5th gens by far are the best size IMO and 4th gens no offense but are too small to be considered a powerfull IMAGE (not motor) even very nice mugen lip on a nice CB7 still would not have as powerfull image as a CD7 with a black mugen lip and SiR 1 pieces. again powerfull IMAGE not motor Cb7's are not much lighter than CD7's AT ALL. we're talking not even 200 pounds different , and that 200 pound sarifice yields you a much better looking car. IMO there are some damn nice cb7's though but I still think CD7's are still far superior looking when done right also to be more precise i think the 94-95 are far nicer looking than 96-97's because the fact that 94-95's do not have a bloated butt ( weird trunk extending taillights (makes the car look fat in the back)) but the 94-95 front bumper and 96-97 bumpers is arguable of which is nicer , depending on the style aimed for (JDM style) i believe that the 94-95 bumpers look better refined with a nice front lip. so that's why i would prefer a 94-95

90-93 (the CB7 two, and four, door. Or CB9 wagon) ARE the most attractive, at least when stock, and not with the black bumpers (as in DX trim lvl). But I'm biased.

The latest addition to my "fleet" is a '98 4 door V6. My 6th Gen. is the supremity. Holy shiza, the power. The power.

The 5th Gen. (94-97) V6 is complete weak-sauce/why bother, but it is siillky smooth.

Every new generation of Accord has always resulted in exponential improvements, on an already awesome base. So you can't really go too wrong. Just the newer, the better, and with more creature-comforts.

The rest is personal preference!

$0.02, I'm Out

i also like the bumper..how the bumper kinda cuts off and the lip fills int he bottom...IMO it looks aggressive, well, as aggressive as a midsized economy family sedan/coupe can look

look for a 93 SE, i like the 4th gens as they were the last to have hondas angle design, and they are pretty light, the f22a"x" motors are also known to take a severe beating,

I love the 92/93.

Wish I got a 96/97 though. Easier to work with all round IMO.
