Default No 07 RSX

"There will be no 2007 RSX. Acura is dropping its entry sport coupe from the market this year, it says, as part of a plan to move the brand up market with BMW as its target. While the RSX Type-S resonated with young enthusiasts for its high-revving 200-horse four, the cheaper 2006 Hond Civic SI matches the performance. Another possible reason for the drop is there appears no replacement for the Civic-based hatchback coupe, sold in Japan as the Honda Integra. Lowest-price Acura next year will be the $28,000 TSX sedan; rumor is Acura may introduce a coupe version of the TSX when its updated in 2008." (Motor Trend, July 2006 VOL. 5 NO. 7 p.27)

Just curious as to what everyone thinks in regard to Acura's new company strategy? Whose for them eliminating the RSX or against it and why.

well i would not say im aganist it or not.. but then it is a good idea for acura to elimate the rsx even tho it is a very nice car and all... but then right now even the honda civic SI is performing almost the same as the rsx or even better... civic now has a navi. optional to offer and if it is optional to have leather interior.. im pretty sure the rsx value will drop and more ppl would rather get a SI since the price is lower then an rsx.. acura is suppose to have more luxcery or luxcery/sport cars just like other company such as lexus and infinite and leave all the import modding cars to nissan and toyota , but in this case honda ..

Well, I'm turning 16 and was trying to get a Type-S for my first car. My insurance company quoted me (under my parents plan, mind you) 4 grand a year. It's a car tuned more towards younger people, but many can't afford it. It's a dissappointment to see it go, but it's definitely in the best interest of the company.

It will break my heart to trade my RSX for the next G35 Coupe once it gets the Re-design in 2007.
