Um.. If your Timing Belt broke then you could have bent some valves? Which isn't good and probably wouldn't allow you to run the motor..

u bent valves most deffinately.

u will bend valves even at idle speeds if the belt snaps

sorry, good luck with the rebuild

Not true Snapped Two Belts one at idle and one at 50

NOT ONE BENT VALVE.

bullshit!!!!!

please dont get this guy gets his hopes up just to be let down

DO a leakdown test and then post the results

idle its possible not to but they have to be some strong *** valves

maybe ur secondary belt

please just think of the mechanics of it when the cam is pushing the valve into the combustion chamber it has atleast a 1/4in of 100% deffinate contact

and NO the cams will not keep spinning they stop moving very quickly

But i agree. There has got to be some bent valves. I am interested in a leakdown result.

Wow, what an interesting bunch of BS... You can snap a T-Belt and not bend valves..

If your problem after replacing the T-Belt is no spark. Check all of your wire connections. (For Example: Crank Sensor will result in no spark.) Run a few wire checks and see if you're even getting power to the Ign. Coil...

Hope that helps more than: "OMG Your valves are bent!"

P.S. Any motor which runs anything other than the timing off of the T-Belt would be an interference engine. For Example: Water Pump, Balance Shaft

thanks for ur reply, so far iv checked ignition coil, icm , and distributor , and there was no spark at all , at first i thought it was the ign coil , so i went and got a new 1 , put it in , and nothin , same result , so that was out, next i got a new icm , put that in , also same result. so right now im either going 2 get a new distibutor , or *** it and just bring it 2 a machinic and be charged up the ***. this is so fukin frustrating . well thanx for the input ppl . ill keep u guys updated.
