What the heck is up with my Intake Manifold?
Hey guys i have a 2000 ex with a b16 swap, i bought the car with the swap all ready done, got the car with no cruise, so was working on getting all the parts. and noticed my intake manifold (witch looks to be stock ) has no place on the bottom side of the drivers side for the cruise control vacume line? i was told the engine is from a SI witch has cruse, so this manifold should have the niple for the cuise vacume line -- Can i 'T' off any where else to for the cruise, Can i connect the crusie vacume canister to any other place. Thanks for the help
you have a civic, prepare for nothing to work and like it. why don't you try tapping the manifold? I don't know much about cruise so I don't know if you could put a t where the fpr line goes back into the intake manifold.

yea i drive 60 miles each way to work, i loved having cruise, i dont care if its big and ugly... i just need to find a place to 'T" into for vacume.. the brake booster line is much much larger, and has a check valve, i dont know how much vacume the cruise needs. weird.

Answered in your PM, but for future searches:
It's a brass/copper looking that that connects to the fuel rail by two bolts. It has a vacuum line coming out of it that connects to the intake manifold.
That vacuum line should give you sufficient vacuum to run the cruise control & is a cheaper alternative than tapping into the brake booster. (IE: $1 T vs $45 vacuum block.

Yes, you can tap off of any other vacuum source to the IM.

What a stupid statement. I have a 93 EG and a 90 Si. On both, every single little thing works fine. You have a Civic, prepare for it to be really easy to fix/replace everything.

Dont listen to those chodes who are knockin cruise control. They're the ones who've never driven more than an hour away from home.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Man, don't knock other people if you don't know their story, every fuc8king place I have to go to is more than an hour away ('tis what happens when ur out in the middle of nowhere) and I don't use cruise control, mostly b/c it just leads to **** goign wrong, like accidents 'caused by falling assleep, seen it too many times, wouldn't matter on my car though, if I left it in 5th with the CC on...I'd bog out as soon as the first slight 3º incline came around and I'd stall, so that would be that :-P
In any event, I don't use cruise control b/c it keeps u more alert if u don't, but I can see the need for it, just sayin, don't knock everybody thinkin everybody that hates it doesn't know what it's like to drive long distances..

Exactly what I was thinking. Everything should work perfectly fine. If not... it needs fixed. Just like any other car.
