Default 99 accord keeps on turning off.

I drive a 99 accord 4cyl. my problem is that my car keep turning off while i'm driving sometime it scare the **** out of me. it happen to me about 3 or 4 times already on the freeway. luckily it was late at night and the traffic was very light. I know that my year accord have 2 recalls for the ignition. Both of the recall have been corrected by one of my buddy that work at Honda. The last recall was fixed about 3 or 4 days ago. No problem with starting or turning off on me while driving after i got it back. Well today it turn off on me twice, the first time it started right back up and the second time i have to crank it several times to get it to start. What could be the problem? Someone told me it a sign that my dizzy is going bad. how can it test it, if it is my dizzy.

just wanted to check sinc i often see worn out ignition switches causing issues like that, usually from too many things on the keychain. I have had at least 3 come into my shop where just slightly wiggling the ignition switch, hitting a bump or some other slight jolt makes the car die....

i believe that there is a recall for the ignition on the 6th gen cars. take it to your Honda dealer and have them check and if needed perform the recall.

I had the ignition switch recall done on my '98. From what I understand it wasn't related to the electrical part of the switch.

The steel barrel around the lock cylinder had to be reinforced. Somewhere in DOT regs, there's a 'law' that says the key shall not be removeable while the car is running. When the cylinder wears out, the key can be pulled out. THAT'S what the recall was all about.
