Default Opinions on headers......

I've been told by a good source that the vibrant header is one of the best headers for the H22

i'm wondering what people's opinions are about this header...

what's the clearance like? does it hang much lower than the stock header??

Vibrant is probably the best off-the-shelf -- its on par with Mugen and Fujitsubo (its a copy of those headers actually) and costs just under $500 as opposed to almost $750-1000 for the others.

Nothing will match the performance of a custom header from RMF, Hytech, or SMSP though. All depends on how far you want to take the car. Vibrant is a great buy if you want to do basic bolt-ons and tuning. the others are great if you want to take your car a step farther, if you plan on racing (you'll get 100% of the potential of a stock engine with one of these headers), or if you just want the best product out there.

if you want a good header you need to pay for it. smsp, hytec, rmf are the best out there but you are gonna have to put up some money

I am interested in the vibrant header also and if most of you people would stop being jerks and answer the question or at least stop being gay then it would actually be USEFUL for once. Instead I always hear people saying "just get smsp/rmf" etc all the time. We all know that custom headers are best headers for our cars but they are a far cry for most people. I have heard that vibrant header is a direct copy of the mugen (except the collector is larger, 2.5inches) and its is made of good quality material and on top of everything its stainless steel so you know that its gonna last for some time. Even thought the mugen header is not the best header out there, it is still really good so I would think that the vibrant header is just as good or better than the mugen one. The problem is that I just have not heard of many responces from people that have this header. So if I can see some prove of this header's capabilities in action it would just make me think that this header is a worth while purchase for 500 bucks. And sorry for the long read

You can only benefit from SMSP/RMF headers if you have alot of work done to the motor, otherwise, the gains will be minimal; less than Greddy or Vibrant. I'm using Vibrant on my mildly mod'd H22A & love it's performance throughout the RPM band, at least over my old DC header. NiRVTEC dyno'd his Vibrant & saw an 8 HP increase over his GReddy, while another Prelude lost power w/his SMSP setup.

seriously, that is why it's "custom" built to the specs of your motor (stock, FI, NA).

ya i read that and what i said didnt apply to him. There were a couple of people who said smsp or rmf and in every other thread of some other header that is what most people reply to, RMF AND SMSP!!! ...so annoying and i did not mean to offend anyone

i dont know of anyone. I am curious as well as to what kind power it makes. For the price of the vibrant (being that its a supposed mugen copy) it would be a good buy for people who cant afford/willing to pay for a custom header.

Where have you seen them for under $500? I've only seen them for $600+ whenever I search google.
