Is OBD1 GSR faster than a OBD2 GSR if it is why is it?

it seems like OBD1 is faster than a OBD2 is it faster and if it is why is it faster?

A friend of mine has a 95 gsr and I have a 2000 gsr I beat him by half a car in the 1/4 mile. We have the same mods except he has dc sport headers and I have the jdm 4-1 Type R headers.

agreed...ob2 not much diffence i think the only problem is you can't rechip obd2 ecu like obd1 ecu's
it's all up to driver...
