Hey guys I am posting for my friend. (98DC2R) he left this morning to head to the Expo but he is having issues with his throwout bearing. He said that he will be able to make it to Chicago, and he has no intentions of coming back. Soo basically what he needs is someone in the Chicago area that has a throwout bearing that is either new or used and still in good condition and has a few tools and he can use to change them out. He is willing to pay for the bearing, he is just really far from home right now and he is needing some help from you R guys. don't have one but will ask the chicago R guys and see if they can find one. Damn the dealership is also closed on sat. I'll ask around.

If he's pulling into Chicago late, probably worth calling a dealer now to look for a new one... I can try a couple up here.

 

called chris (98DC2R), he's in Hardin, Montana border of wyoming and Montana. Spoke to him and he will try to meet up with the chicago caravan and go together just in case. Anyone in the MONTANA AREA??!!!! if you are give chris a call, he is travelling solo with his wife so any assistance is greatly appreciated.

IIRC, there's only a couple of ITR's in Montana

The dealer closest to me has a throwout bearing. $68.84, probably even higher than list price knowing this dealer.

pete has one.. he replied to my mass-email... now if chris(98dc2r) can make it to our caravan tomorrow it should be fine.. told him not to push it. Plus its safer for him to be travelling with us just in case something happens there are people to help.

I just got off the phone with Chris and he said about 3:30 your time he will be in South Dakota and he plans to drive straight through.

 

just got off the phone with him. heis in the minnesoata area.. he's makn good time and car is running ok. He might need a throwout bearing but that's covered thanks to pete

chris is on route to the caravan meeting/starting point best buy.... see you guys there if not i'll see you on the hwy after i pick cory from o'hare.

 

chris made it expo and with a new clutch and flywheel and some mad crazy staying up all night mechanical work in the back of the hotel.. he'll be home shortly.. he needs to catch up on his major sleep hours..
