that will yield a 13 comp........ can it be done... yea but i wouldnt do it....
it will need a lot of timing pulled .... u could notch the pistons down which can help but the GSR head will bump it up

im thinking of pulling all timing out of the dizzy and putting a FPR and bumping the fuel pressure up and sending him straight to agoura to fill up with some 100 octane and then straight to hook ups since he doesnt have hondata <CROME-PRO> lol chris might see this car tomorrow

yea, and tell him not to get on it at all if thats the case... dizzy timing at 14, FPR at 50........
100 oct.... and easy driving and he should be ok

with some good size cams it can help lower the comp also

Just set it at zero unless you are running like some stage 3 cams or somewhere in the profile then you might have to advance the timeing some for Idle but I wouldn't worry about it if you are going to run stock cams or like stage 1's just leave the marks at zero.

i'm thinking they are Integra Type R pistons also...but I definately wouldn't use unknown slugs in a build...they most definatelly are a super high compression piston...try e-mailing the pics to Honda Tuning mag and see if they can ID em for ya...Thats the best thing I can think of...as far as your swap goes try to get ahold of some B16 pistons for the LS block and you should be good to go and have no worries about detonation issues on 91 pump swill--i never have had to use an octane booster with mine ( GSR block with a B16 head and B16 pistons) those are some super huge slugs bro!

Not even close. They look more like CTR's than anything really. The valve reliefs just look a little large to be CTR's, I got a set in front of me and those slugs look similar but not identical.

i just got word they they nippon ctr replicas... the block was rebuilt by the machine shop next to high end in ventura... so i guess we'll use this as a test to see how these pistons hold up in an EXTREME situation... and we'll see if chris over at hook ups can tune this bitch... the gsr head is on and all assembled i just cant get the 14mm timing belt tensioner bolt loose to get the timing done... damn and i wanted to fire this beast up today too, oh well, till monday it is

Those are definately oversize CTR's.

Why doesnt anyone drain their coolant before pulling the head?

so once again, why not drain the coolant?

Yes there will always be SOME coolant left in the cylinders, but looking at the coolant utop each piston, this guy didnt even drain his radiator.
